Bishop T.D. Jakes, an influential American televangelist and bestselling author, recently marked the 27th anniversary of his ministry organization, The Potter’s House Church.

Since July 2nd, 1996, Bishop Jakes has remained steadfast in his mission to guide individuals towards a purposeful life, overseeing the transformative growth of the ministry over nearly three decades.

During a special anniversary service on July 2, a significant milestone was reached as Bishop Jakes appointed his daughter, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and her husband, Touré Roberts, as the first assistant pastors in the 27-year history of The Potter’s House.

Bishop Jakes expressed his gratitude and excitement on social media, stating, “Today is our 27th church anniversary! We all experience good moments, but occasionally we are blessed with God moments that hold a special place in our hearts. This was one of those moments for @tphdallas! We are expanding our outreach by appointing our first assistant pastors, an executive pastor, and @jakesdivinity is welcoming a dean of worship and fine arts, along with a new curriculum for an accredited Bachelor of Arts degree in church worship, enabling us to have a broader impact!
